We are dedicated to making a difference to abused, neglected and misunderstood horses and ponies.
We purchase horses, ponies and donkeys that are in a bad state or that have behavioral issues stemming from physical or mental abuse.
We keep them for several months, depending on the individual, and find out everything we can about each animal. We are absolutely upfront about all that we have learned, so we can place the animal in the right home with the right people!
Animals do not go to approved homes unless they are up to proper weight, UTD on farrier, worming and shots. Prices fluctuate on the rescues and reflect our purchase price, trailering, vet & farrier bills, and special diet, supplements, etc. WE DO NOT PROFIT FROM POOR ABUSED ANIMALS HERE . This is non-profit!!
We believe that rescuing an animal is just the first step of a very long journey.
Our rescues are treated with utmost compassion and respect. Our goal is to find caring, knowledgeable homes for all of our animals
When Madison arrived, she had to tripod herself to get to the hay.Click On madison's Picture to read more. | Madison was donated to Hilltop Haven so that an approved forever home will be found. Madison was a succesfull Eventer untill some lameness issues appeared that we are trying to correct. We feel Madison can easily be placed as a light riding trail horse. After removing her shoes and correcting hoof heights, her shoulder and pastern apear more flexable. ****UPDATE****** Madison is recieving on going Message Therapy from Danielle Wood. Madison's Shoulder is rotated due to the fact that her left hoof was 3 inches higher than her right and sevearly compressed. This caused jarring when jumping, thus, pushing the shoulder back. Thanks to 3 different Farriers, and Danielle Wood and her Therapy, Maddy is making progress!! Madison shows no sighns of a groove starting on her teeth , she is no older than 6 years, but no younger than 5.
